MUSSELS-HOW TO COOK THEM

  • First wash and brush them mussels and get those beards out..they usually come clean in most super markets and in some cases if asked politely.
  • chop some onions and garlic, Sauté them in a pan with a mixture of butter and olive oil, in with those mussels and after some heating, add some white wine and close the pan for 4-5 minutes. if the mussels have opened up, they are ready. garnish with some chopped parsely and serve with some fat fatty pommes.
  • the same thing can be done with some great home made curry sauce (whatever, i prefer a nice coconut milk curry sauce).Use instead of white wine,same procedure. Some rice and mmmhhh.
  • what you need is just a tablespoon of chopped garlic and onions, half a cup of white wine to 500 grams of mussels.
