- To make the dough for the naans and rotis, knead 1 kg maida with 2 egg yolks, 1/2 ltr milk, 1 gm baking powder, dissolve 1 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp salt in 3 dl of water and add to the flour...
- Knead , knead and knead, making a very loose dough, add more water if it's still ain't soft. Add 1/2 tspn of sunflower oil to it and knead again...allow to rest for a hour, covered with a plastic foil at room temperature.
- The paratha dough needs 1 kg of white flour, 6 dl water and 1/2 tsp salt and oil...knead and allow to rest at room temperature...
- HMM, if you don't have a tandoor in your house, you could use an oven turned up to about 300°, or a simple frying pan...
- This video with SHER BAHADUR BOHARA shows you how to make them in a tandoor. He's actually making a cheese naan there with cheddar cheese , but you could use any other cheeses, i'd prefer any extra hard cheese. There are thousands of other videos on youtube, have fun.
